Birthday Singing Telegrams
The birthday gift nobody sees coming
Presents get unwrapped and forgotten. A birthday singing telegram becomes the story the family retells for years. Our singer arrives as a stranger — a waiter, a delivery driver, a guest nobody quite recognises — and then begins to sing directly to the person whose birthday it is.
It works just as well for a milestone 18th, a 40th that somebody is dreading, a 70th surrounded by grandchildren, or a 100th in a care home lounge. The performance is scaled to the room and the personality of the person receiving it.
Personalised to them, not to a script
Before the booking is confirmed, Sean talks to you about the birthday guest of honour: their favourite music, their sense of humour, the people who will be there and anything you would like woven into the message. Lyrics can be adapted to include names, in-jokes and moments from their life.
Every performance is delivered by an experienced professional — you can see our singers here and listen to recordings before you decide.
What happens on the day
We agree an arrival time with you, and where possible with the venue directly, so nobody spoils the surprise. The singer arrives early, sets up discreetly with professional sound equipment if it is needed, and waits for your signal.
Afterwards the singer will happily stay for photographs. Read more about how the whole process works on our singing telegrams page.
Questions
Anything you need to know.
Where can a birthday singing telegram be delivered?
+
Restaurants, pubs, hotels, private homes, offices, golf clubs, care homes and party venues. We speak to the venue ourselves so the surprise is agreed in advance without spoiling it for the birthday guest of honour.
Can we choose the birthday songs?
+
Yes. Most people pick one or two songs that mean something to the person celebrating, plus the traditional birthday moment. If you are unsure, Sean will suggest songs that suit the age, the room and the mood.
How long does a birthday performance last?
+
Usually around 15 to 20 minutes, depending on how many songs you want and whether you would like the singer to stay on for photographs afterwards.
How much notice do you need for a birthday booking?
+
The earlier the better, particularly for weekend evenings. Short-notice birthday bookings are often still possible, so it is always worth asking.
Planning a birthday surprise?
Tell Sean the date, the venue and who the birthday is for — he will reply personally with a tailored quote.
